Why I do Things Afraid

Before jumping to a conclusion, let me clarify that this doesn't justify acting recklessly, but it's about following your calling. Admittedly, fear is sometimes inevitable when faced with uncertainty, but it's important to not let it hold us back from pursuing our goals and dreams. In that respect, we may come across challenges that we may not fully understand the reasoning behind, but it's crucial to remind ourselves that there's always a bigger purpose at play.

This is why I emphasize the values and principles we hold for ourselves because they can guide us in the right direction if we're careful and intentional. As I've been reflecting on the past months, I notice that confronting our fears with courage and determination can lead to extraordinary opportunities that we could not have experienced if left entrapped in doubt. Avoiding challenging situations may seem easier, but in reality, it only leads to missed opportunities and unfulfilled potential. Quite often, comfort makes me uncomfortable. It's a reality that leaves me in a headspace of settling, assuming that there's nothing more than what I choose to accept as my reality when, with intention and bravery, much more can be accomplished. Instead of wondering "what if", we should strive to embrace every opportunity that comes our way, even if it requires taking a leap of faith. While weighing our decisions carefully is important, we should not let doubt paralyze us from taking action. I strongly believe in this, so much so that I have it tattooed on my hand: "What If", because there is no room for doubt in my journey. (p.s: that doesn't mean it doesn't come up now and then, but I push through)

As we journey through life, I encourage you to live with purpose rather than regrets. Picture yourself at 90, reflecting on your life. Wouldn't it be amazing to say that you have no regrets about the opportunities you pursued? Yes, you may have made some mistakes along the way, but it didn't justify the means. The journey towards our goals may be long and uncertain, but every step we take should be meaningful and purposeful. I invite you to start making every moment count and embrace the journey, knowing that we are all continually growing and evolving.
